PROGRAM MANAGER
General Description:
Student Success Stores 501(c)3 is seeking a passionate, highly motivated, self-starter to join our Operations team! Our mission is to provide anonymous stores filled with hygiene products, easy-to-eat food items, school-code clothing, and school supplies inside schools. By providing students with the essentials, we aim to ensure that each child starts the school day healthy, confident and ready to learn. The Program Manager will manage the logistics of our warehouse and support our operations throughout our partner schools.
LOCATION: Warehouse: Gahanna, Ohio / Schools served: multiple locations across Columbus, Ohio
Key Responsibilities
Oversees daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all products and incoming donations are safely and accurately purchased and/or stocked, and logged in the system
Implements/manages safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for all volunteers and Board Members who support Students Success Stores
Acts as the primary information contact for RISE Commercial District (Warehouse) and external vendors maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when needed
Creates, communicates, and maintains quality control policies and standard work procedures
Supports board members in preparing for volunteer groups including but not limited to: organizing checklists, setting up the space for volunteer activities, ensuring products are available and easily found
Manages delivery, transport, and restocking of products to school stores whenever needed
Supports retail logistics processes and procedures in the warehouse and in our multiple Student Success Stores
Manages quality control and inspection of stores to ensure compliance with quality standards
Supports the Board Operations Committee's projects
Completes duties as assigned by the Board
Requirements:
Advanced computer skills required, including experience with Google Documents, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Forms and Microsoft Suite
Must have a car and valid driver’s license to transport product from warehouse to stores
Must be able to pass a BCI and FBI background check
3-5 years of warehouse, inventory control, or retail experience.
Previous supervisory experience desirable
Ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift up to 25lbs
High School Diploma/GED
Associates Degree or College Degree desirable
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Passion for Education in underserved communities
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and email communication
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Attention to accuracy and detail on all levels
Hours per week: 20
Compensation: $25 per hour
Gas reimbursement for work-related activities - $0.56 per mile (limit of $200.00 a month)
